Sunrise Aviation, a flight school in Ormond Beach, Florida is approved by the Republic of Panama to train pilots from that country.

Sunrise Aviation, a flight school in Ormond Beach, Florida is approved by the Republic of Panama to train pilots from that country. Sunrise Aviation with its sister concern named as the International Flight Training Center, has been entitled at Panama, from the year 1999, to run flight training courses for students belonging to Panama. As the general aviation market improves in that country and the rest of Latin and South America, Sunrise Aviation expects to enroll even more students from those regions.

Since 1999, students from various Latin and South American countries, including Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Panama, have enrolled at Sunrise Aviation. In many of those countries, Sunrise Aviation graduates are now flying for the airlines. In some cases, the Sunrise Aviation graduates have secured jobs in other areas of the world such as the Middle East or India where there have been shortages of experienced airline pilots. Many whom Florida's Sunrise Aviation has graduated now work in places all over the globe.

A strong demand for aircraft purchase in both the corporate and airline segment is seen in the growth figures released for Latin America and South America. More pilots will be hired in those areas in the next several years because of this.

The current location of Sunrise Aviation, The Ormond Beach Municipal Airport was occupied by Sunrise in the year 1983 In the past few years, people from over fifty nations have become students in the programs that teach people to fly planes. This school year, we have students enrolled from a number of countries, from Brazil to Saudi Arabia. Tunisia, Turkey, France and Spain are at Sunrise Aviation. Future airline pilots are offered pilot training at Sunrise Aviation as also training toward individual ratings like Private Pilot, Instrument Rating or even the multi-engine rating. Sunrise Aviation is home to more Cessna 152s than any other flight schools located the state of Florida, as well as a popular choice among pilots who need to add additional flight hours to their logbook somewhere that is affordable and time efficient. Sunrise Aviation conducts flying instruction classes on all the days of the week.

Sunrise Aviation also now has Technically Advanced Aircraft with glass cockpit avionics including the Cessna 172 SP with Garmin G-1000 and the Cirrus SR-20 with Avidyne. The fleet strength of Sunrise Aviation numbers to 43 in which four multi-engine aircrafts are also among them. They are approved by the FAA as a Pilot School and approved to enroll foreign students by the Department of Homeland Security. In addition to the approval from Panama, Sunrise Aviation is specifically approved by the government of the Ukraine to train pilots from that country. The specific needs of pilots from Saudi Arabia, India and other countries are met by the specially designed programs by the Sunrise Aviation.

Flight training packages are available from Sunrise Aviation for corporate, commercial airline, and private pilots. Sunrise also offers individual certification classes including instrument rating, commercial pilot certification, multi-engine rating, flight instructor certification, and even airline transport pilot certification.

Sunrise Aviation was Currently Given the Honor as Florida State College's Primary Vendor at Jacksonville Flight School. The FAA has approved the use of Sunrise Aviations use of the Redbird Advanced Aviation Training Devices. Jacksonville's Florida State College (otherwise know as FSCJ) offers FAA approved courses. The recent acquisition of four Redbird LD AATD's was made by Florida State College at Jacksonville was for the use of their students. Based at Cecil Airport, Sunrise Aviation are contractors that specialise in flight training for Florida State College.
